There’s nothing too remarkable about this track. It has all the elements of a hit record – catchy vocals, funky bassline, smooth strings and a really nice vibe. It took a few listens before I was hooked, but when I was the appeal was pretty strong. If you like disco (and I do) then this one will really grab you!

But before you go racing out the local record shop, you should know what kind of bang to expect for your buck. This release comes with four different mixes to choose from. The Original and the Dub by Ultraphonic kick things off nicely and would sit well for those laid-back early evenings. On the remix roster are Craig Obey and Super-T Club. Obey strips things right back and goes for a minimal electro interpretation that does justice to the original piano riffs and strings while managing to draw out the breakdown in typical fashion. The remix by Super-T Club is a more upbeat affair with some solid drum patterns, a deeper bass line and synth-stabs to build strategic key changes. This is definitely my pick of all the tracks. To round the whole package off, the original vocal accapella is included so you can go home and create your own version.

I’m not really sure what Ultraphonic are ‘keeping right there’, but if it means bodies on the dance floor or sales in the singles charts, this one is destined to succeed.
