iBreaks.co.uk is an on-line UK radio station which exists purely for all you breaks fans out there, and it’s guaranteed to be playing breaks around the clock 24/7. The head honcho of iBreaks.co.uk is the one and only JMekka, who originally hails from Spain, but now calls London his home base, and is the founder of his own record label Vive Music. JMekka is also responsible for the creation and mixing of this first instalment of the iBreaks CD, ‘So Far So Good Volume 1’, and it’s a real gem. This CD will give you an insight into the world of iBreaks, and rumour has it that it contains exclusive remixes and singles that cannot be heard or bought anywhere else! The CD boasts tracks mixed by the likes of Peter Paul, Santos and Circuit Breaker, in addition to JMekka himself, as well as masterpieces produced by the likes of Digital Base, Deibeat, Nitro and Tom Tonic.
But enough with the background mumbo-jumbo, what does it sound like? Well breaks fans, this CD is guaranteed to rock your house, and I promise you I am not just saying that. It’s a mixed bag of breaks with an appropriate dose of spooker sounds (tracks such as ‘We Rock The Party’ by Deibeat remixed by Circuit Breaker and ‘Something Like That’ by Tom Tonic), beats (like ‘More Tekila’ by Peter Paul remixed by Slyde, ‘Schranzinger’ by Digital Base remixed by SuperStyle Deluxe and ‘Beats’n’Bobs’ by Groove Allegiance remixed by Madox) and boppy tunes (such as ‘Zilly Zozzage’ by JMekka remixed by Deibeat, ‘Superfashion’ by Digital Base and ‘Violence’ by Nitro remixed by Rogue Element).
Well, so far so good and all in all, I think iBreaks are on to a winner with this series. I’ll definitely be looking forward to the next instalment.
