On the slightly candied, bright and commercial tip, Moving Too Fast still has enough appeal to pull lovers of dance to the floor, with some remixes really hitting the mark. It’s sure to get most funky house buffs moving.
Five mixes are included in total, and I would have to say the pick of them is the Freemasons Full Vocal. More on the funkier vibe, this one really does work. Unique synth samples make for a more refreshing approach to the track’s foundations. At times there’s an almost disco influence, and it slots in well, as does an awesome build up at the halfway point. The Original Radio Edit is quite good as well, but takes on more of a lounge and soulful vibe. Very relaxing, chill and yet solid, this track would go well with a few beverages watching the sun set. It definitely would have a place on a Ministry Of Sound Chillout Sessions CD (if it isn’t already on one!) The Northwest Remix is a bit more sublime, with punch that gets the arms and legs moving. The MYNC Project remix is right on the funky tip.
While nothing outrageous or unique, this track still has enough substance to warrant a listen by any lover of house. One to dance to in the clubs or drop into your sets between the classics.
