Organs really are cool. Im not talking about church organs, they are just plain depressing, and the only place they should be heard are in horror movie sound tracks or at a funeral. I’m talking about electric organs, like the Hammonds and what not. When I first heard ‘World Hold On’ by Bob Sinclair, I thought “yeah that’s hot, that bass”, as the organs reminded me of my youth in London, listening to Garage music and 90s house.
Therefore, when I heard the Andy Caldwell remix of ‘Take ot Off’ by Brielle Davis, I once again thought “yeah, that’s hot”. I must confess that I have not heard the original. But I don’t care, as I doubt it could be better than Mr. Caldwell’s sexed up remix. It’s classic, proper, real house music at its finest, funky, sexy and sweet. It’s not only the organ, it’s the piano, the guitar, the swinging drums, and the vocal.
I noticed one thing, however. I’m not sure if anyone is familiar with the song ‘Broken Bones’ by Love Inc, but this track is incredibly similar to it. The bassline, the key, and the chord changes. It’s not exact, but it’s similar. Of course that’s like saying the Rolling Stones made songs that were similar to the Beatles. So what?
