Chemical Brothers - The Salmon Dance

The Chemical Brothers are one of the world’s best and most successful dance acts. Their latest and fifth studio album We Are The Night is proving yet again the duo’s ability to redefine their sound and secure a new audience for their music. Reminiscent of the at times quirky Ninja Tune crowd or even a Disney/Pixar movie soundtrack, the second single from the new album The Salmon Dance looks set to further strengthen their stranglehold on a mainstream audience, perhaps even the sought after tweens market.
With Fatlip of legendary hip hop group The Pharcyde delivering a sort of rhyme about the life-cycle of a salmon over a quirky and skanking beat, the track stands out as probably the catchiest track that The Chem’s, as they are affectionately known, have ever produced. With a sound that would transpose easily to a mobile phone ring tone or even a kids movie, the single contains three versions, radio edit, original and instrumental. The Chemicals Brothers – coming to a Disney movie near you. Who would have thought?!
