A Fedde Le Grand track is instantly recognizable by its drums. They have a sound quality to them, a thud and thump, and a swing, with a very housey feel, yet are unmistakably electro house.

His latest record Let Me Think About it, featuring the vocal stylings of Ida Corr, has a a very RnB feel to it, thanks largely to the vocals. But I don’t mean modern Top 40 RnB, but the soulful, sophisticated style. Add to that the violins, with their orchestral stabs in the breakdowns and intro, and the guitar, with a very similar sound heard in the James Bond theme, and you have one very cool tune.

The bassline is simple, effective, and deep. It drives the track along nicely, yet is not the hook, as is the case in many tracks these days, and doesn’t overpower the rest of the track. The overall song, like most hits, is very simple, with a very catchy hook, both vocal and instrumental, much like Put Your Hands Up for Detroit was. Fedde Le Grand then, is the master of the hook.

If I had to find something wrong, it would perhaps be that there are too many pauses and breaks in the song, but then again, this keeps it interesting. And they are brilliantly executed, with one with a male vocal, various female parts, and a great instrumental break.

There is already an official video for this song, despite being fairly recently released, with a massive amount of hype. Get it while its hot, this is a sure hit, and will definitely be on the next Ministry of Sound release.
