As most trance heads are already aware, Ajunabeats have been pumping out some quality trance in recent times. However, this release is not just quality – it is sheer outstanding. It is the perfect all round track. Driving, uplifting, energetic, raw, electric and even a bit tribal and down tempo at times. Mike Koglin has long been an outstanding producer of all things prog and trance and this partnership with Mark Pledger makes All The Way one of those memorable tracks that will have you screaming for more on the dance floor.
The original mix caught my attention from the word go. It begins with a real, solid, meaty, full bodied and raw beat that is the perfect foundation for the coming track. From here, it is trance sounds that are not too explosive as yet but more than enough to prick your ears up. The first breakdown descends right down into almost sheer ambience before kicking back with that more uplifting, driving power trance that just makes your heart want to pop out of your chest. It is perfectly put together and there was very little if anything I could find wrong with the track.
The Nick Larson remix is a bit more tribal and darker than the original to start but still has those roof raising build ups and body penetrating bass that features so well on the first mix. Again the first breakdown slowly smooths down before slowly and cleanly building back up into the biggest drum roll that would go spastic on any club speakers. A real solid piece as well but I reckon the original mix just edges it – but only just.
Absolute quality and perfection are the first words that come to mind to sum this one up. Believe me, it is praise well deserved and I have been more than hammering this one on the CDJs. Once you hear this release for the first time, if you are not impressed, I will be very surprised. This is easily in the top five tracks I have heard in the last twelve months. Superb!
