Fragma’s 2000 mash-up is back yet again (will this track ever die ?), but this time with a fresh new look and feel, while still tasting the same. I can’t deny it – I freaking loved this track when it launched into the club scene back in the days when Ministry of Sound CDs were all imports, mixed by Judge Jules and set the sound for the whole scene world wide. These were the days when we got “down down down” to Paul Johnson, felt Everyday with Agnelli & Nelson and told them all You Don’t Even Know Me, thanks to Armand Van Helden. Toca’s Miracle was always a bit cheesy, but yet everyone seemed to know that vocal… And a whole new generation now knows it again.

The single features six mixes, radio friendly rewrites and big club versions from Inpetto and man of the moment, UK’s Richard Durand. Durand absolutely tore it up at Godskitchen last year, even playing this remix of Toca’s Miracle, pulling out the sound so that 6,000+ clubbers could sing the words. The moment was just magic and gave me goosebumps! The Inpetto mixes are more in tune with today’s commercial electro sound that the kids are loving right now, and has a very happy feel good vibe to it. Sure to get a caning on MoS compilations and the like. Richard Durand’s mixes on the other hand, feature a driving rolling beat that is made for the club, stomping it up and generally losing it! Not too fast, or too slow, it gives this classic track the nicest revamp I’ve heard in a while… Or maybe even the best so far. The single also features an Inpetto remix of Toca Me, sticking to the electro feel good vibe of the original Toca’s Miracle.

Well, it seems like this track struck a cord when it was released way back in 2000. DJs and producers keep coming back to it, who knows how many more times it will be remixed? Oh well, as long as they do it justice, no one can deny it – it sure is catchy.
