This all time classic Laurent Garnier anthem gets a rework courtesy of two of the new wave of uber producers Mark Knight and Funkagenda. Some may say sacrilege, others may say cash cow and still others may say meh! However, this remix definitely does justice to the original track. A far more house friendly version than I was expecting, this features very little extra saw tooth bass lines or screaming synths. Quite a mature sound overall, taking the original elements and basically just creating an extended mix.

The breakdown is suitably epic, as to be expected. A total drop off of everything apart from the first 4 bars of the main riff. We’re soon treated to the sax line. Now I’m not entirely sure if this is the original sax line but if it’s not it’s pretty damn close, and definitely satisfied my thirst for the sax pretty comprehensively! Overall then I’m pretty pleased to report a job well done and a remix that, while running the risk of aggravating the haters, does do a lot of justice to the original and leaves to vibe well intact. Hats off!
