This dark synthed-out song will get everyone dancing. Aussie act the Dukes of Windsor are among the many artists today who are successfully blurring the lines between rock and electro. While there’s many others out there who might have failed in their attempts, the Dukes of Windsor remain among those who have succeeded and look to be in no way slowing down as they conquer both the rock and electro scene one bouncy song at a time.
Grafton Primary were put in charge of remixing their latest It’s A War single and with this, gained even more attention for creating an attractive synth-rock ballad that could be enjoyed by almost everyone. Grafton Primary are relatively new to the scene and are causing waves in and around the electronica scene, with their excellent original productions as well as their polished ability to remix other peoples tunes. And Benjamin and Josh Garden certainly stuck to their influences of sythed-out 80s music while creating these remixes.
The club mix is a dark version of the original with heavy drums throughout the song that keeps your head bopping along. To counter the dark beat being forged by the drums, the synth sounds are somewhat hypnotic and you can’t help but feel like this is an 80s song that has been taken over by the emo kids who are intent on making it theirs. Grafton Primary will surely be on the lips of everyone this summer as they hit the Festival circuit, and going off this song and the rest they’ve released, this is just the beginning of the new-wave sound that will come from these two lads.
