The Billion Dollar House Party has been touring nationally throughout Australia recently and for those that haven’t heard, it featured some of the best bass-loving party DJs in the business. Australia’s own Ajax, K-note featuring the Killaqueenz and UK breakbeat and bassline maestro Deekline all showcased their ample dancefloor-moving skills on the tour.

To accompany the club shows, Central Station has released a compilation featuring the aforementioned artists mixing some of the biggest and baddest bassline-heavy tracks that are sure to get booties shakin’ this summer clubbing season.

Firstly we have relative newcomer to the scene, Sydney based K-note, who delivers a slick mix of fresh hip hop and clubbed up bangers that is complimented perfectly by the Killaqueenz, whose MC styling really ups the party vibe. From more commercial hip hop like the Black Eyed Peas’ I’ve Got A Feeling and Dizzee Rascal’s Dirtee Disco to more house-orientated tunes like DCUP’s remix of the Killaqueenz own release Boyfriend, this mix is chock-full of floor-filling gems.

Tracks fly furious and fast, with K-Note’s quick mixing and cut-up style making it abundantly clear that he has some serious skills behind the decks. The highlight for me would have to be a perfectly placed vinyl scratch drop into Bliss n Eso’s Down By The River.

Next up is two-time inthemix50 #1 DJ and Sweat It Out record label head honcho Ajax. From the very first track it is clear that he still has what it takes to get a club rocking. Starting things off is Crookers feat. Rye Rye and their tune Hip Hop Changed, really kicking things of nicely. From there he weaves seamlessly from track to track, genre to genre. From B’more to electro, hip hop and house, Ajax has all bases covered. The last few tracks even venture into dubstep territory thanks to Calvetron, Pornstep and Doctor P. There really is a little something for anyone with the taste for big time basslines.

Speaking of basslines, Deekline supplies just that with a mix of upfront, bouncing and speaker-shaking tunes. His easily recognisable production skills and DJ talent are both on display with no less than five of his own tracks and remixes featured throughout. As he blends, mashes and scratches his way through an awesome array of music, there is really no doubt that this man’s technique is unique.

He kicks things off with his collaboration with Tim Healey The Mexican (which has seen major airplay all over Oz recently), and quickly follows it up with Aussie producer extraordinaire DCUP’s chopped-up remix of the same tune. More bassline madness follows with artists like Tittsworth, Fast Eddie and Neighbour all getting a well-deserved spin, but without a doubt the highlights for me come from some of the breaks scene’s super-heavyweights – The Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers and Krafty Kuts.

To finish proceedings, Deekline drops his future-classic track Apple Bottom, which rounds things out perfectly, with its ghetto booty bassline and oh-so-tasty rhymes from Sporty-O. With three totally different yet equally accessible mixes to choose from, Billion Dollar House Party is a definitive party-starter.

Billion Dollar House Party is out now on Central Station through Universal.
