Lasgo are back with the follow up to their huge track ‘Something’ and with this new one sticking to the same formula, it looks like Lasgo have another hit single on the cards here with ‘Alone’.

You will find on this single a host of mixes but pretty much all of them are your basic vocal trance sounds that has been flooding the dance music world in the past year. Alone contains plenty of vocals from the lovely voice of Evy Goffin, while musically you will hear some famous samples from their first tune Something but in comparison to that tune, this one holds more of a uplifting trance feel to it.

Ian Van Dahl’s remix lifts the tempo a touch and I find more enjoyable then the Original Radio Edit and Extended Mix. The Peter Luts Remix adds a bit more of an epic feel to the Original and is quite good from a man who is of course half the musical mind of Lasgo and a producer who is regarded as one of the best in the vocal trance scene.

The final two mixes on this CD are from two Australian producers. The KCB Mix adds a more of a bouncy and dancefloor flavour to the track and is a good mix of vocal trance sounds and hi-nrg dance touches. The Blizzard Brothers Remix in parts sounds like a tougher sounding mix and is again a combination of trance and hi-nrg dance sounds but I would still hold KCB’s Mix in higher regard.

The single also contains the Bonus Video and Acappella of Alone that may prove to be some sort of a bonus to some.

Overall, if you liked Something, then you will definitely like this one too. It isn’t anything original or excellent to be honest but there is a huge market these days for these sounds and why would anyone stray away from a successful formula?
