It was with a sense of great anticipation that I waited for this CD to
arrive in my mail box. I had said to a number of friends, “I am getting ‘that’ song with the cool vocals.” They all knew what I was talking about. I speed-read the press release as a means of building to the moment when I was to dance around my living room, reliving the previous Saturday night. The press release knew what I was talking about. Apparently I didn’t.

Remember those old vocal house tracks with the badly sampled vocal slapped on to some unsuspecting instrumental? This sounds very similar, and the vocal line seems to have too many syllables. This could be presented as a case in point for the reason why DJs with little musicianship should not be allowed into a studio. Weaving between house and trance, the track is devoid of inspiration and direction.

The six mixes have no appeal as they are on the CD single, I can not imagine how a regular music buyer would go out of their way to buy this. So it is a club track; DJs will buy this? Not quite. I have racked my brain and the only DJ I know who would play this would be Paul Oakenfold (because he OWNS Perfecto.)

Next time I will listen to the CD before reading the press release and next time the DJ plays ‘that’ song, I will be sure to ask him or her what it is.
