Sean Quinn provides us with a preview of the progressive house sounds to be heard at the Summadayze 2001 party in Melbourne this coming New Years Day . The Summadayze party returns to the Myer Music Bowl for the 3rd time as one of the worlds largest New Years Day’s dance Music events. Sean Quinn provides a mix of Harder dance styles including trance, tech and progressive.

The dreamy vocals of Cica in The Flying Song start proceedings with a progressive trance fee and Hear Me by James and Trueman contains a sample that will be familiar to many. Nick Warren under the name of Way Out West delivers remix of a vocal style Trancy Number Catch by Kosheen. Acid sounds then start to creep into Sean’s mix Desire by Memmon followed by a techy version of Dooms Night. Sparc by Futureshock lifts the pace and includes a nice rest in the middle whilst the Christian West remix of Opal’s The Snake is disappointing compared to the 1994 original. The remainder of the CD is dominated by Techy, Acid and Trance like sounds including Sean’s own input on the final track – Forced.

Sean Quin has a defined style with vocals being a signature without creating a commercial sound. If this CD is anything to go by, Summadayze will be the place to keep partiyng rather than winding down.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!
