No longer is the well known UK label Tidy Trax stagnant just with the sounds of hard house, over the past few years it has progressed well into the sounds of techno, trance, tech-house/trance and hard trance and as shown by this particular compilation, they sure do know how to represent the massive hard trance sound of today.

I am not the biggest fan of hard trance but this compilation just sucked me in from the beginning. There is no rubbish full on bangin’ sounds that go nowhere and have no feeling, nearly all of the tracks on here will move you and they all progress very well.

Basically on this double CD compilation you will find a lot of the big hits of 2002 in the hard trance world. This is greatly shown by the heap of tracks and remixes from the big names in the scene such as DJ Scot Project (where would a hard trance compilation be without this man?), S.H.O.K.K., K90, Arome, Guyver, Riot Bros, Signum, Nu-Nrg and Flutlicht.

With 14 tracks on each disc, Lee Haslam does an excellent job of mixing this one up. He moves and builds the mixes in a positive direction and at times when you think the action and hands in the air stuff must slow down, he relentlessly pulls out another killer tune.

I would personally say that disc two does it more for me, it’s a bit more uplifting and trancey, there is some huge tunes on there plus during most of the mix, the energy is just electric.

I picked up Resonate locally but I believe it is still on import and can be pretty hard to find. There seems to be a lack of quality hard trance compilations but this one definitely fills that void. All I can say is to the massive hard trance loving crowd out there, is that if you love your hard trance and the artists as mentioned earlier, you are going to love this compilation.
