Jori Hulkkonen - All I See Is Shadows (Acid Kings Remix)

Jori Hulkkonen returns with an Acid Kings Remix from the All I See EP of 2002, that takes away the more breakbeat fuelled bass, and gives it a more tech-styled edge. The Acid Kings are K.Oksahe, P.Salone, T.Toivohe, and this remix is filled with an acid-house style.

There is a long intro and outro on this vinyl, and it definitely allows for some creative mixing. Vocals repeat over and over with “all I see is shadows” and “acid”, and then the acid stabs and bass kick in. This vinyl is a return to that acid-house sound, and its screechy loops build and build…and build.

Although this is a good record, it is one-sided so you will probably know from the get-go if your going to buy this. Look out for it on the French label of all great things tech, F-Communications.
