Following his critically acclaimed tour of Australia in June, it’s clear that German producer Robert Babicz was so enamoured by the response to his performance in Melbourne that he promptly decided to write a new song and dedicate it to the techno-obsessed city.
Having played a sold out show for Blow Your Own Way at Ffour, Babicz is reported to have stayed up all night in his hotel room to write the track ‘A Night In Melbourne’. It’s just been included on Treibstoff Recording’s new 10th anniversary CD and will get a 12” release also.
But wait, there’s more… Babicz was also recently interview for German music DVD ‘Slices’, and it’s been noted that in the background on the wall of his studio he has the poster for Blow Your Own Way taking pride of place. Nice work Melbourne!
