Apocalypso goes gold for The Presets

No doubt destined to make it onto many ‘best of 2008’ album lists, the hotly anticipated sophomore release from The Presets is also well on its way towards becoming the biggest selling dance album of the year. So far on sale for only two weeks, ‘Apocalypso’ has already gone gold, meaning in excess of 35,000 copies have found a happy home in CD players nationwide. Making its debut at #1 in the ARIA Album Charts, last week it slipped only a few spots to #3, pipped by Kasey Chambers and Mariah Carey.
With every date on their June tour of Australia precariously close to sell out – tickets remain for their Adelaide show only – the next few months will also see the duo continue on their mission to conquer international crowds. They’ve got a 20 date tour of the US fast approaching sell out, as well as festival shows scheduled in the UK at Glastonbury, Wild In The Country, Creamfields and Electric Picnic. ITM wonders if Delta knows who they are now?
Stay tuned to ITM for updates.
