Richie Hawtin, Kleinenberg & Bodzin for Future Music Festival!
Fri 9th Jan, 2009 Newsin
So you thought that the lineup was quality to begin with? Well hang tight, because Future Music Festival is here to make every techno, progressive and house fan’s dreams come true with the second round announcement for the 2009 tour. Richie Hawtin, Sander Kleinenberg, Stephan Bodzin have all been added to the bill along with a handful of other names, tightening up the lineup to make it even more essential.
Hawtin was one of the consistent rumours for FMF last year in the leadup to the announcement, so his addition to the bill will no doubt lead to squeals of delight from techno and minimal fans who haven’t seen him in the country for a good few years. Kleinenberg has also held onto his status as one of big guns of progressive house, a poster boy for the comprehensive and diverse approach the sound has delivered over the years. Stephan Bodzin on the other hand will be returning to a secure fanbase after blowing away the crowds on the We Love Sounds tour last year, and he’s complimented by a number of other solid names that include hip hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash, house mainstay Ian Carey and more.
