Come October 31st, Melbournites can look forward to welcoming a new festival to their shores. Tired of all those fluoro infested electro festivals? Well then you can head along to Megarampage, dubbed as the largest skate and BMX event ever to make it down under.
Ok, ok, we do owe you an explanation as to why on earth this little nugget of information has made it onto this particular website. While us here at inthemix could barely give a flying fig (or other f. word, for that matter) about the likes of Offspring and tabloid chasers Good Charlotte, there is one act on the lineup that is definitely worthy of your attention.
Here’s a clue: they’re the group that spawned the production of possibly the most bogan tracksuits to ever clothe the back of your resident local derro. Not picking up what we’re puttin’ down? It’s the Wu-Tang Clan!
During Ghostface Killah’s recent tour of Australia back in June, he tantalized hip hop fans with the hint that there would be the possibility of a tour with the whole crew joining him later in the year.
Well, it’s official now, The Wu-Tang Clan are coming!
Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, Method Man and the rest of the posse (not Ol’ Dirty Bastard though- he’s dead. Der!) will be getting all up in Melbourne’s grill and will be sure to have hip hop fans smashing around to classics like Protect Ya Neck and other such gangster-related poetry.
