Wu-Tang Clan set to rampage in Melbourne

Image for Wu-Tang Clan set to rampage in Melbourne

Come October 31st, Melbournites can look forward to welcoming a new festival to their shores. Tired of all those fluoro infested electro festivals? Well then you can head along to Megarampage, dubbed as the largest skate and BMX event ever to make it down under.

Ok, ok, we do owe you an explanation as to why on earth this little nugget of information has made it onto this particular website. While us here at inthemix could barely give a flying fig (or other f. word, for that matter) about the likes of Offspring and tabloid chasers Good Charlotte, there is one act on the lineup that is definitely worthy of your attention.

Here’s a clue: they’re the group that spawned the production of possibly the most bogan tracksuits to ever clothe the back of your resident local derro. Not picking up what we’re puttin’ down? It’s the Wu-Tang Clan!

During Ghostface Killah’s recent tour of Australia back in June, he tantalized hip hop fans with the hint that there would be the possibility of a tour with the whole crew joining him later in the year.

Well, it’s official now, The Wu-Tang Clan are coming!

Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, Method Man and the rest of the posse (not Ol’ Dirty Bastard though- he’s dead. Der!) will be getting all up in Melbourne’s grill and will be sure to have hip hop fans smashing around to classics like Protect Ya Neck and other such gangster-related poetry.

I'd be very surprised if "Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, Method Man and the rest of the posse" actually come to Australia.

Seriosuly shit news article. I don't think it could of been more offensive if it tried. Who is the editor of these things anyway? Great event, Wu-Tang will be massive, I'm glad ITM had someone who obviously has an interest in the event to put the news art

That article was balls. Next time how about mentioning the many and diverse achievements of the artist. Their many appearances on the Dave Chapelle show, RZA's ridiculous buisness skills or the fact that they did the score to the cult classic 'Ghost Dog'

Wicked, but I wonder if there is gonna be a "safe" area that doesn't involve Sunshine/Dandenong/etc gangs rollin through the crowd stabbin n grabbin in a deluded hip hop fantasy. Ah well, I'll fucken take em on if they interrupt the show.

Rampage is definately the word. Last time the Tang toured oz they fucked shit up. I knew their tour manager last time. Lets just say he wont be managing the tour again this time. Underage girls, constant assaults. Big payday for him, but Mo Money Mo Prob

I'd dance to Wu Tang. Does that make them dance music??? I SO WISH I COULD GO. Reunited, double LP, world excited... tracks to the underground... industry ignited!
