It’s been an agonizingly long wait for UK electro kingpin Erol Alkan to make his way down to Australia, but the DJ/producer/disco don finally made fans dreams come true when he was announced as a part of this year’s monster Parklife lineup. Why were those fans so excited? Well because he’s renowned for putting on massive shows with great lineups, just like the upcoming Erol & Friends gig that’s happening this October across the pond.
As a part of the very impressive Warehouse Project series, Erol will take over the Manchester venue on October 16th, bringing along a large posse of musical pals for the night including fellow Parklifers Aeroplane as well Zombie Nation, The Juan Maclean, Idjut Boys, Alexander Robotnick, Rory Phillips and more.
The Warehouse Project is set to play host to some other big names throughout the English autumn, including nights curated by Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Groove Armada and Friendly Fires. Kind of makes you wish you lived in Britain, right?
But don’t get too glum, as Erol Alkan will be out here in a matter of weeks, throwing down tunes at Parklife and also at some super special Disco 3000 sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney. Check the dates for those below and stay tuned to our festival page for more updates.
2nd October – Erol Alkan @ Sorry Grandma, Melbourne
4th October – Erol Alkan @ Oxford Art Factory, Sydney
