It’s been a few weeks since entries closed in the Bandroom Records and inthemix remix competition for iconic UK outfit Zoot Woman. If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the announcement of which remix came out on top – personally judged and selected by the band’s acclaimed lynchpin Stuart Price no less – then here’s the story you’ve been waiting for!
Drum roll… we’re proud to reveal that the winning studio head is Melbourne’s Bobby Vena! He’ll have his remix of Zoot Woman’s single We Won’t Break released official on Beatport and iTunes this October. The band’s label also wanted to congratulate the very close second and third place getters – Treble In Paradise and Ryan Van Blanken – for jobs well done.
“While all the entries were brilliant, we felt that Bobby’s mix stood out from the pack,” Bandroom told inthemix. “We’d also like to acknowledge Treble In Paradise and Ryan Van Blaken’s mixes as being outstanding. Bobby’s Mix will be released via Beatport and iTunes in October. Thanks to everyone for their entries and we hope you enjoy the album.”
