While Future Entertainment event Hot Barbeque was originally a boutique alternative to their own Summadayze New Years Day party, in 2010 it will be reborn for a mid January festival that takes things well out of the city to the scenic surrounds of the Point Nepean Quarantine Station in Portsea. An eclectic selection of music tastes will be catered to, from indie and hip hop to house, electro, funk and soul, and beyond, with a wide range of local and international live acts and DJs.

The Presets, Sneaky Sound System and Grandmaster Flash will be amongst the headliners, with more acts to be announced. Spectacular ocean views have been promised for the open-air venue, and adding to the summertime vibe will be several food vendors from along the Mornington Peninsula who will be on hand for the tasty treats, bringing a distinctly local vibe to the proceedings.
