We Love Sounds first round lineup is here
Mon 15th Feb, 2010 Newsin
After six years at the top, the epic We Love Sounds festival is back for its seventh year and is looking set to affirm its place as the crown jewel of the winter party calendar. So far promoters Sounds and Finely Tuned have teased festival fans with some hints about which artists we’d see at the beloved event this year, offering clues about a couple of big “electro labels” hosting arenas and then yesterday revealing some intriguing details about where the artists on the bill call home. At last though, ITMers can finally cease the long-running guessing game as the first lineup is here.
In true We Love Sounds fashion, this year’s festival will see a healthy mixture of artists on the bill, with plenty of dance music’s old guard making the trip as well as an array of fresh-faced crowd pleasers joining the action. Following their break-neck Australian tour as part of last year’s Stereosonic festival Italian club stallions Crookers will be throwing down some serious bombs when they arrive as one of the festival’s headliners, a title they’re sharing with the likes of Laidback Luke and L.A. impresario Steve Aoki, who’ll be bringing members of his Dim Mak stable out to play in their own arena.
Making up another two big arenas will be Godskitchen with Markus Schulz and Turbo Records with Candian party starter Tiga. Bolstering the lineup with a bevy of big name DJs and the odd live act, punters will also experience the talents of heavy-hitters such as Felix Da Housecat, M.A.N.D.Y. and Zombie Nation, not to mention Gareth Emery and Ellen Allien, two DJs who’ve been on many ITMers’ tour wishlists in the last year. Huge, right? You can take a look at the first round lineup below, and know that there’s still lots more to come so keep your eyes glued to ITM for updates.
MARKUS SCHULZ (excluding Perth)
FELIX DA HOUSECAT
ZOMBIE NATION live
GARETH EMERY (excluding Perth)
THE PROXY live
+ many more still to be announced
