Cypress Hill reveal tour plans

Stoner idols Cypress Hill are back with a new record and an Australian tour on the horizon. The group’s new album Rise Up is a collaborator-heavy affair, featuring guest appearances from hip hop heavyweight Pete Rock, Rage Against The Machine shredder Tom Morello and former House Of Pain frontman turned blues-rapper Everlast (remember him?).

When our sister site FasterLouder spoke to Cypress Hill’s head honcho B Real yesterday, he revealed that we’ll be seeing the crew down here before the year is out. “We look forward to actually coming down to Australia in September and rockin’,” B Real said. Pressed on if this was likely to be a national tour, he confirmed; “I believe so, I believe that’s the plan.”

Cypress Hill was last here for the Good Vibrations Festival in 2008, where they got the Roots Tent heaving to their surefire arsenal of anthems: Insane In The Brain, Hits From The Bong, How I Could Just Kill A Man and Light It Up to name a few. B Real’s reveal of a September visit certainly puts them in the ‘maybe’ basket for Parklife, but only time will tell.
