The latest entry to Sydney’s buzzing underground is Good Sorts, which will debut at the Civic this Friday 25 June. Promising “an upfront, friendly and open minded clubbing night”, the line-up befits the occasion. Darius Bassiray, one half of Melbourne’s Darkbeat masterminds Rollin Connection, is flying up to play alongside Sydney stalwarts Matttt and Dave Stuart and the Good Sorts residents Jamie Mattimore and Sam Watkins.
In Bassiray’s own words: “The music I like to play – whether it be house, ambient pieces or twisted off-beat nonsense – I always seem to think about how my productions would work in my sets and often write pieces of music specifically for my sets that are appropriate for whatever and wherever I end up playing.” Check out the What’s On listing for all the details.
