Slam due back here in January

The forthcoming summer just keeps getting better, with news that Scottish techno titans Slam have their sights set on Australia for the early days of the New Year. The duo was last here in September of 2009, when they proved just how they’ve held it down at the famed Pressure parties all these years. Fans will no doubt be revving for another heavy-duty session.

Things have remained busy in the Slam camp since that visit. Last month, the Soma bosses curated another top-shelf line-up for the Slam tent at Scotland’s T In The Park, with Plastikman, Carl Cox, Sven Vath and Erol Alkan helping move the masses. Slam has also been charged with leading Room Two at the next Fabric On marathon, and they’ve certainly had plenty of practice. It looks likely we’ll see Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle in live mode this summer, a prospect worth rejoicing about.
