Back in April, evergreen icon Carl Craig dropped the casual revelation that the D25 tour was Australia-bound. While there wasn’t much else in his statement for fans to hang their hopes on, inthemix has now learned that the Detroit techno juggernaut is 100-percent coming to Sydney and Melbourne on the weekend of 10 and 11 December. Time to investigate flight options if you don’t live in those cities, as it’s promising to be ‘truly a once in a lifetime event’.
The D25 tour celebrates the rich history of Detroit techno, and we’re assured the Australian line-up won’t be short on legends. The concept came to life at this year’s Miami Winter Music Conference with a ridiculous roll-call of innovators including Carl Craig, Juan Atkins, Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Kyle Hall, Kenny Larkin, Kevin Saunderson, Monty Luke and Stacey Pullen. The Motor City travelling party has since spread itself across Europe and the US, including stops in Florida, Paris, Barcelona and of course London’s Fabric.
The D25 tour hits Melbourne and Sydney on the weekend of 10 and 11 December – stay tuned to inthemix for all the details as soon as we have them!
