The good news keeps coming for Rainbow Serpent Festival. Stretched across four days deep in Western Victoria’s bushland, the near-mythical gathering is looking impressive in 2011. For those making the trip, the first round announcement featuring Mathew Jonson and Atmos was just a taster.
A few more names have now been added to the roll-call. Thrillingly, Jonson’s improvised techno outfit Cobblestone Jazz is set to appear under the stars. The Jazz players command a formidable rig of analogue synths, drum machines and keys, with a prestigious catalogue of tracks from India In Me to Traffic Jam.
Rekids main man Radioslave is also on board, and Rainbow Serpent is sure to be the perfect platform for his head-swimming techno. Lovers of progressive can look forward to sessions with two of the masters of the genre: Germany’s D-Nox and toast of Bedrock Records John Graham, aka Quivver.
Here’s the updated list of acts making the Rainbow Serpent Festival pilgrimage in 2011. To stay on top of developments, head to the festival page on inthemix and ‘Become A Fan’.
