Shine On Festival line-up grows
Mon 15th Nov, 2010 Newsin
Next weekend, some very happy campers will head into the Victorian bush for the inaugural Shine On Festival. Dreamt up by the minds behind Rainbow Serpent, it’s a more intimate gathering under the stars – but there’s no punches pulled on the line-up front.
Two more acts have now been added to the musical melting pot: Kiwi roots, rock and soul troupe Hikoikoi and tribal quartet Ganga Giri. They join a bill that has plenty of soul and funk thanks to the likes of Fat Freddy’s Drop and Blue King Brown, as well as electronic masters like Minilogue and Pig&Dan. The cast of Australian acts runs deep too, from ‘wonkadelic’ producer Spoonbill to disco kids Canyons.
The updated Shine On Festival line-up now looks like this…
Fat Freddy’s Drop
Blue King Brown
That 1 Guy
Scientists of Modern Music
Sun Control Species
Barons of Tang
Dub the Magic Dragon
Thankyou City (formerly Continuum)
Punks On Junk
Bass Bin Ladin
