Joris Voorn takes it to our clubs

Following a triumphant run with Creamfields last year, Joris Voorn is returning to these parts in May for his own tour. The DJ is set to take to Sydney Harbour for a Spice Afloat midnight cruise, with club shows in other cities.
In the 12 months between visits, the Dutch impresario has largely been consumed with touring. His sound have become increasingly suited to big rooms over time, with regular slots at We Love…Space in Ibiza, London’s Ministry Of Sound, the vast Awakenings parties in his homeland and even Sensation White. Never one to take his eyes off the mix, the man’s DJ sets are intensive the whole way.
On the production side, Voorn’s recent release on his Rejected label, UnTITLED Dub Vol. 1, shows his love for groove-led house is still strong. It’s a surprise he finds any time for the studio, though, given how often he’s in transit. If there’s a world-renowned festival to play, he’s played it – with forthcoming stops at Ultra Music Festival and the Pryda Friends tent at Creamfields UK to name but a few. We should count ourselves lucky to see Voorn do his thing up-close and personal.
Upping the stakes on this tour is Voorn’s right-hand-man at Rejected, Edwin Oosterwal. Sharing a similar musical vision with his fellow Dutchman, Oosterwal’s Green imprint is committed “to bringing the most beautiful of techno to our floors”.
