48 hours of awesome with Berlin Festival lineup

If you’re making a dash over to the Northern hemisphere to bask in their summer season later in the year then you’ll know by now just how spoiled for choice you are in the festival department with event after event offering staggeringly good lineups we can only dream of getting all at once in Australia.
You can now add the 2011 incarnation of Germany’s Berlin Festival to your hit-list with the festival today announcing its 2011 artist lineup. Once again diversity is on the cards with a bevy of live stars like Primal Scream (in full Screamadelica mode as well), Hercules & Love Affair, Santigold and Mount Kimbie meshed with DJs like Skrillex, Diplo, DJ Hell, Pantha Du Prince and downbeat icons Kruder & Dorfmeister.
Once again the festival will go down in the hangars of the Flughafen Tempelhof airport on September 9th and 10th but punters looking to double their fun can take advantage of the festival’s extra fancy Berlin Music Week Ticket which entitles festival goers to kick on at Club Xberg with a bunch more DJ sets around the city after midnight. With access to the festival proper and the extended clubbing adventures, the 89 Euro ($120ish AUD) looks pretty swell.
