Marcellus Pittman’s debut Australian tour

Detroit is coming down under this June long weekend, with Marcellus Pittman visiting three cities in as many days. This will be the first time Pittman brings his analogue house, disco and techno smarts to these parts.
Pittman’s production history is long and varied, with the most obvious starting point being his work as part of 3 Chairs with fellow Detroit dons Theo Parrish, Rick Wilhite and Kenny Dixon Jr.
His other team-up has been with Parrish and Omar-S as T.O.M. Project, which yielded the Renaissance 12-inch on Sound Signature in 2006. As a standalone producer, his recent outings for Seventh Sign Recordings and Lifetime Groove show he’s just as vital on his own. As the man’s FACT mix from a while back proved, his sets are Motor City through and through, with raw, time-honoured classics alongside the newer house gear.
Marcellus Pittman tour dates:
June 10 – Animals Dancing, Mercat Basement, Melbourne
June 11 – Sugar, Adelaide
June 12 – Karim Presents: Marcellus Pittman, Tone, Sydney
