Ricardo Villalobos is Movement Festival Detroit’s ‘secret artist’

Each year as the summer sun sets on Australia we look on with envious eyes as Detroit basks in one of the United State’s biggest dance festivals on their calendar with Movement Festival, with the 2011 edition set to go down this coming weekend.

This year’s lineup already looks the goods with big guns like Sven Vath, Felix Da Housecat, Green Velvet, Goldie, James Zabiela and even Fatboy Slim and Skrillex but now Movement organisers have given us festival-goers another reason to cheer, revealing that their billed ‘secret artist’ is none other than Ricardo Villalobos.

Movement fans would probably remember last year’s drama surrounding Villalobos’ appearance at the festival where the Chilean star was forced out of Movement 2010 due to ‘bureaucratic obstacles’ surrounding a US work visa. While his track record doesn’t inspire confidence, Movement officials have assured punters that he WILL be performing at the festival and afterparty.
