It’s been a couple of years since Modular synth-rock crew Van She dropped their much talked about debut LP on the Aussie label. Since then we’ve received a remix LP from the group’s dancefloor evil twins Van She Tech and a solo outing from bass-bro Matt Van Schie but now word is out that the group proper is back with a new full length slated for release this year.

The news comes directly from the band themselves who took the stage for Sneaky Sundays’ club night at the Modular programmed Vivid LIVE over the weekend, taking the chance to preview new material and drop details about an August release for the sophomore record.

Among old faves like Kelly, Changes and It Could Be The Same, Van She performed the debut live airings of newies Tears, Idea Of Happiness and Jamaica the latter of which bobbled on some squelchy synth-bass programming.

We’ll keep you updated on more word on the next Van She album but it’s safe to assume we’ll hear it before that new Avalanches one.
