While having UK production champions Above & Beyond return to Australia this September was big enough news in itself, eager fans were just as excited to hear who the Anjunabeats crew would be bringing with them on their first headline trek of the country.

Well, the guessing game has ended today with news coming in that’s sure to please fans. Joining Above & Beyond on the Group Therapy Australian tour this September will be a duo of celebrated producer/DJs who’ve long flown under the wing of Above & Beyond; Jaytech and Mat Zo.

“You can choose who’s going to warm up for you and that way you can decide what you’re going to play whereas at a festival you may have a limited timeslot and you don’t know what the other DJ before you is going to be playing,” Above & Beyond told inthemix in our interview when asked about doing a headline tour and not a festival. “Having that freedom is really great for us.”

Supporting Above & Beyond on the Group Therapy tour will be Mat Zo’s first trip back to Australia since his summer ’10 visit, while Canberra export Jaytech will be backing up after his own club dates next month. You excited, or what?

Above & Beyond 2011 Australian tour dates:
Friday 9th September – Metro City, Perth
Saturday 10 Sep – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Thu 15 Sep – HQ Complex, Adelaide
Fri 16 Sep – The FAMily, Brisbane
Sat 17 Sep – Festival Hall, Melbourne

Woop! Always an absolute pleasure hearing James belt it out on a big system, and Zo was thoroughly impressive at FMF last year

Agree with B&A though, some Arty would've been nice - arguably one of the best producers of the new breed going round; be good to finally get him down here!

guys i got a massive dilemma. just found out a cousin is having a wedding the same night as A & B FML!. Was contemplating not going A & B but no way am i missing my fav trance act of all time! So my question is for the melbourne event, when is A & B actually taking the stage? I wont be able to get there til around 10-130. How long are the warm up sets for? im hoping til 11

reckon you'd be right.

and don't reckon they'll be doing a headline tour of AUS again soon.

I was hoping for Super8 & Tab with Mat Zo and someone I'm not familiar with. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
