The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project is back in 2011, and this time we’ll be trading parties with Italy. That means on 12 November an Italian-inspired event will light up a secret location in Australia with a couple of headliners who fly the green, white and red for dance music. Leading the way on the night is the enduring duo Junior Jack & Kid Creme alongside fellow house heavyweight Alex Gaudino. Meanwhile, homegrown stars Nervo and the Bang Gang DJs will be flown to Italy to show what we’re made of.
This time round, the number of countries taking part in the Nightlife Exchange has shot up from 14 to 50. In 2011, our ambassador is Ministry Of Sound’s leading lady and all-round in-demand DJ Anna Lunoe. Via a hub on Facebook.com/SmirnoffAustralia, you’re all invited to make suggestions for what represents the best of our local after-dark culture. It’s then up to Lunoe to put together the nightlife ‘crate’ that’ll be sent along with Nervo and the Bang Gang boys.
“We have had some awesome suggestions so far on what makes Australia’s nightlife truly unique, so we expect the event on 12 November to be a one-of-a-kind experience in both countries,” says Lunoe in a statement.
