Foreshore delights Canberra; the photos are in!

The weather may have been looking pretty dreadful in the days leading up to Foreshore, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the festival’s sell-out crowd. Clearly, it was going to take more than a little bit of rain to deter Canberra from catching the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Avicii and PNAU.

Then, against all odds, the skies cleared up just in time for the 12.00pm start. Getting things going in the early afternoon sun were party rockers LMFAO, followed by cult classics Salt-N-Pepa, who had the crowd talking about sex (as did the on-site Chlamydia testing).

Armin had an early set at the Hi Top stage playing at 4.00pm, followed by clear crowd favourite Bombs Away. Luckily, most of the DJs were playing at one of the three undercover stages, because it was about this time the rain finally started to fall and the ponchos came out.

There may have been the distinct scent of poo wafting around Parliamentary Triangle the muddier things got, but it didn’t really matter – because by the time Avicii hit the stage (for a killer set, no less), it was obvious the day had been a success. Locals PNAU wrapped things up at the Kicks Stage, and Dutchman Afrojack closed the Hi Top.

But, of course, that’s only a fraction of what went down at Foreshore – so check out the photos to relive all the action.
