Mark Ronson no longer appearing at Future Music Festival

Confirmed last week as part of the second Future Music Festival line-up, super producer Mark Ronson has been taken off the bill due to a scheduling conflict.

Ronson had been scheduled to play a DJ set with UK music know-it-all Zane Lowe, who was announced on the huge second line-up alongside New Order, Friendly Fires, Knife Party and more.

Future has passed this statement across to inthemix: “With the greatest of intentions, Future Entertainment announced Mark Ronson on Future Music Festival 2012. Unfortunately, scheduled engagements, which we had hoped to clear, and opportunities that Mark could not decline, needed to take priority over his performance at Future Music Festival in 2012.

“It is with this news that we regrettably advise Mark Ronson will be unable to appear at the festival this season. Future Entertainment however remains in close discussions with his management about another suitable time for him to return.”

Tickets for Future Music Festival 2012 are on sale now through Ticketmaster.

That's a shame. Zane Lowe played a mad set on his own last year, so not a massive loss.

LOL... announced and then removed. It's a shame if another gig / more money is the main motivation for this artist.

Zane Lowe is the biggest cheesmeister cock smoker in the whole dance scene...his set before Chemical Brothers last year made me ashamed to be a Kiwi

does this leave room in the budget for a substitute?

Shame.... On a lighter note - the better reason to bump up the likes of you stage!! Sharam would fit in perfectly ;)

Wasn't it just a DJ set?!? Sorry, but Ronson is a shit DJ...any act would be a "worthy replacement"...if it was Ronson + full 10+ piece band, yeah, then it's OK to be gutted about him dropping out...otherwise, no great loss
