Aqua still exist and they're coming to Australia!

Image for Aqua still exist and they're coming to Australia!

When Sash! and The Vengaboys came out of nowhere last year and each announced Australian tours, we thought that the 90s cheesy dance-pop revival couldn’t get any better. Turns out, things were just getting started.

Fifteen years since their song Barbie Girl got Mattel very angry, Danish-Norwegian pop tarts Aqua have announced that they are heading to Australia.

Taking the 90s revival to its inevitable conclusion, all four original members (who could forget Lene Nystrøm René Dif, Søren Rasted and Claus Norreen) will reach our shores this coming March. Set to play their hits Doctor Jones, Lollypop and errr, Turn Back Time, the band will also be showing off tunes from their new album Megalomania which spawned the (Scandinavian) hit How R U Doin?

Now, if only we could get Len to support.
