Modeselektor tour postponed

It’s never fun to linger too long on bad news, so we’ll make this short and sweet. An update from Novel Tours this afternoon puts something of a dint in our summer glow: “We are sorry to announce due to unforseen circumstances the upcoming Modeselektor ‘Monkeytown’ tour including Playground Weekender has been postponed until later in 2012. Stay tuned for wearenovel.com.au for more info soon”.

There’s plenty of reason to hope for a speedy reschedule from Modeselektor. The duo’s 2011 album Monkeytown dominated our Albums of the Year list, and their 50 Weapons label is setting a formidable precedent for the year ahead. The ‘Monkeytown’ tour was billed as a live shebang, and that’s something we can’t afford to miss out on. Stay tuned!
