Splendour line-up clues heat up with Justice, Caribou and more

LOOKING FOR THE 2012 LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT? HEAD OVER HERE!

With the winter campout Splendour In The Grass set to return to Byron Bay this July, line-up speculation is already working overtime. Avid devotees of the festival usually keep a close eye on the line-ups for Summer Sonic and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, which fall around the same time.

As Splendour organiser Jess Ducrou told our friends over at FasterLouder recently, we can expect to see a bit of sharing going on this year. “We’ve always had a light dialogue on dates and so on,” she told FasterLouder, “but interestingly this year we have started talking more with them and I think that will really benefit everyone.”

This week sees Fuji Rock expand its 2012 line-up with a roll-call of names you could picture being right at home at Belongil Fields. On the electronic front, there’s Justice (too soon for a return?), Caribou, Busy P and 2011 drawcard James Blake: all pretty dead-on names for the Splendour atmosphere. As previously reported here, Summer Sonic has SBTRKT, Sigur Ros and Passion Pit, among others.

The 2012 line-up will be announced in late April.
