20 injured in platform collapse at all-ages Avicii concert

We know from Stereosonic 2011 that when Avicii works his anthem Levels into a set, the crowd loses its in a big way. At the start of the DJ’s set in Stockholm’s Globe Arena last night (Friday 2 March), that excitement was cut short when a VIP platform collapsed, taking more than 30 people down with it. About 20 concertgoers aged between 15 and 17 had to be taken to hospital, with one injury reported as “very serious”. Amateur video footage shows the whole arena bouncing along to Levels, then confusion as security rushes to the unstable platform.
A second Avicii concert scheduled for the night had to be cancelled.
