Watch Madonna crash Avicii’s set, make awkward drug reference

The massive three-day Ultra Music Festival is currently taking over Miami with a huge list of headliners that needs to be read to be believed. Last night, the main stage featured a huge contingent of dance heroes like Fatboy Slim and Justice, but it was a massive night for Avicii in more ways than one.
The Swede was joined on stage by 53 year-old Madonna to coincide with the worldwide release of her new album MDNA. The singer awkwardly introduced the Swedish DJ before his set (“In my world, the words ‘music’ and ‘dance’ are not separated ok?”) before asking: “How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?”
In case you’re not up on the lingo like the Material Girl is, our friends at Urban Dictionary tell us Molly is an abbreviation of “molecular, a pure form of MDMA (ecstasy), usually a free powder or in capsules.”
Geddit? She’s making an MDMA reference and her new album is called MDNA? She hasn’t stayed at the top of charts for decades for no reason. Madonna then proceeded to gyrate, arms raised, in the DJ booth as Avicii debuted his remix of Madge’s new track “Girl Gone Wild”. Watch the awkward intro here:
The majority of tracks on Madonna’s new album were co-written and produced by dance stalwarts Benny Benassi, Martin Solveig and William Orbit.
