UK mainstay John Digweed keeps up an extensive touring schedule, and one of his favourite destinations is South America. At the end of April, the DJ is set to release Live in Cordoba, a new three-disc package that shows Digweed in his element.

Earlier this year, he played a standout five-hour marathon set at the open-air Tres Aguas venue in Corodoba, Argentina, and the first two discs are segments of that journey. Disc one covers the warm-up, while the second disc sees him shift gears towards more driving territory.

“I could see from the reaction to my very first record that this crowd was there to party and were totally united under the stars, creating one of the best party atmospheres I have experienced in a long while,” Digweed says to set the scene. “I played for over five hours and really didn’t want to stop, as I was having so much fun. Fortunately I recorded the set and I hope that this live CD helps to capture some of the energy from such an amazing party. Thanks to everyone who was there for creating such a memorable and special night.”

The third, unmixed disc sees Digweed in A&R mode, selecting 10 exclusive tracks from the likes of Guy J, Slam, Zoo Brazil and Maetrik.

Charging $$$$ for a live set?

Fark me, next we'll be paying to hear his weekly transition shows.

I don't like it one single bit and is sadly the end for me in terms of buying anything Digweed.

And good luck to those who don't have an issue with any of it and hope you enjoy this latest release.

Listened to both CDs. Bit disappointed, seems to be the first 2.5 hours of the set. Doesn't really let loose at all.
