Electric Daisy Carnival announces New York 2012 lineup

Amid the ongoing corruption saga surrounding Electric Daisy Carnival, it’d be easy to forget the positive news that the festival is expanding to New York for the first time in 2012. After relocating from LA to Las Vegas last year, the promoters behind Electric Daisy announced in February that they’d be giving NYC their own edition of the massive three-day event, going down from May 18 to 20.

Now just a few weeks out from EDC’s East Coast debut, the New York lineup has been announced. While it’s not as big as the Las Vegas event, it’s nonetheless a pretty impressive bill, with Armin van Buuren, Avicii, Afrojack, Bassnectar, Nero and Carl Cox all set to attend. The festival also promises a “Very Special Surprise Guest”, as well as a DJ set from Pendulum – but no Knife Party.

There’s also a couple of curious back-to-back sets scheduled. SHM member Sebastian Ingrosso is teaming up with Calvin Harris; while Markus Schulz will be going head to head with Gareth Emery. Check out the full lineup below.
