Adrian Lux gets up prepped for Australian tour

While Adrian Lux may be best known for the anthemic 2010 single Teenage Crime, it’s far from the only hit the Swedish producer has under his belt. Ahead of his arrival in Victoria this weekend to kick off the 2012 Groovin the Moo tour, we caught up the producer about his return to Australia and the release of his debut album.
While Lux (real name Prinz Adrian Johannes Hynne) released his self-titled debut album only last month, it’s been a long time in the works. “It’s been coming since 2009 I guess,” Adrian Lux told inthemix. “I didn’t know back then that it would be an album, but it feels really good now that it’s done”. At a solid twelve tracks long, the eponymous LP brings together previous singles like Can’t Sleep, Burning and Alive alongside new material like bonus track Leave the World Behind -all festival-ready tunes, which is good news for the GTM audience.
“It’s a debut album, so I tried not to overthink it concept-wise” Lux explained “rather, I just wanted to make it personal”. As well as the GTM tour, you can catch Adrian Lux on his club dates in Melbourne, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sydney and Perth. “I loved the last tour” the Swede told us, “playing Teenage Crime in Sydney with everyone singing along was a pretty amazing feeling”.
