DJ Lord and A-Tonez streaming live today

Earlier this week, we announced the jam-packed May line-up for Fridays inthemix: our exciting new weekly initiative. As you might have picked up on after recent sets from Lancelot, Metrik, Martin Buttrich and tINI, we’re using Friday afternoons as an opportunity to start drinking (slightly) earlier than usual and stream DJ sets live from our office, kicking off at 4pm.

This week, it’s DJ Lord’s turn. Given the Georgia-born turntablist has a history with hip-hop legends Public Enemy, a proclivity for DJ battles and plenty of solo touring under his belt, you can count on him to deliver a memorable set. What’s more, Sydney’s own bass-fiend A-Tonez will be offering the turntable legend some support, ahead of his appearance at Chinese Laundry tonight. It’s set to be a good fit – as well as enjoying hip-hop; DJ Lord has a known penchant for spinning dubstep and drum & bass.
