Swedish trio Miike Snow have just announced that they’ll be complementing their Splendour in the Grass appearance with a duo of sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne this July.
As part of the group’s ever-busy touring schedule, Swedes Bloodshy & Avant and their American Mark Ronson collaborator Andrew Wyatt will hit Sydney’s Metro Theatre and Melbourne’s Palace Theatre shortly after finishing up in Byron Bay.
They’ll be bringing with them their recently-released second album, the immediate hit Happy To You. As our reviewer put it, the follow-up release retains the signature style established in Miike Snow’s self-titled debut: “electronic, indie-infused and at the very least, a sprinkling of pop”. Between big singles from the new album like Paddling Out and the anthemic Animal, there’s plenty of material destined to pop live. Tickets go on sale May 21 through Ticketek.
Miike Snow 2012 Splendour sideshows:
Monday July 30 – Metro Theatre, Sydney
Tuesday July 31 – Palace Theatre, Melbourne
