Atmosphere gear up for tour's second weekend

It’s been an on-point tour so far for two of hip hop’s cult favourites, Atmosphere and Evidence, with Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart and Melbourne already knocked over. This weekend signals the final stretch, with the double-bill reaching Sydney and Perth.

Minnesota-bred wordsmiths Atmosphere are no stranger to these parts, but this visit has been three years in the making. So far the tour has seen Slug leading the way in typically firing form, dipping into Atmosphere’s wide-reaching catalogue. Then there’s Rhymesayers recruit Evidence, who has forged a formidable solo career outside his trailblazing outfit Dilated Peoples. You can catch them at Villa Perth tonight (Friday 11 May) and in Sydney at The Hi-Fi on Saturday.
